except that---除---之外

否定副词提句首,后用部分倒装.that从句作little的同位语

It was not until midnight that he felt asleep.

在强调句型中,把not until--合在一起强调

When was it that we held the English party ?.

在强调句型中,that不略. yesterday与when冲突.
