'A good teacher is always just a little better than his students. ' She told us. From our confused faces,she realised that we didn't understand, so she explained:'A good teacher is not a person who is far away from his students, is not a person who stands in the front of the classroom speaking without stops and flaunting his knowledge. A good teacher should be a person who is just a little better than his students and let his students catch up with him. ' She was my English teacher who taught me something more than English. Once she told us that In China,teachers who taught students from high schools and universities were always better than the teachers who taught children from nursery schools and primary schools. She said that was not reasonable. We asked her why,and she said,'Teaching children from nursery schools is much more important and much more difficult than teaching students from universities.Teaching the children from nursery schools, that means you should teach them good habits and good values which will follow them the whole life. So the teachers who teach in the nursery schools should be better than the teachers who teach in universities.' I remembered once I asked her how to improve my English, and what she said was branded on my memory forever,'Don't think vocabulary and grammar can help you, what you should do is to keep thinking and never give it up.' Because of her, our English class was full of fun.Always we found questions and solved the questions by ourselves.She just stood in the front of the classroom and gave us some suggestions occasionally.'English class is just a free talk, everyone can speak on the stage if he wants!'
