PRESENT PERFECT TENSE ..
1. ) I've been to the hospital - to tell that YOU HAVE VISITED THE HOSPITAL.
2.) I have been to england twice.
3.) I have been to somewhere. ( means that I have gone there and come back)
4.) Person A: Where have you been last week? I couldn't find you anywhere!
Tomato : I've been to China.
5) I've been down to London to visit the Queen.
"Been to" a place - means that in the past you were actually there ( has gone to the place or has visited the place ). It is used when the person is no longer in that place.
