Materialism is becoming a fashion, or to some extent, a characteristic of this era. Quite a few people believe that money is able to buy everything, including happiness. However, I don't agree with them. Happiness is a spiritual feeling, which cannot be interpreted or evaluated by using the ideas of materialism,such as money. For example, we can't get the elapsed time back, no matter how much money we have. If someone has lost his opportunity of being offered a place in an ideal working place, he or she will never be able to go back for a second try. Also, sometimes people can get happiness even they can't get any income. For instance, it is undeniable that, if an altruistic teacher keeps helping his students even when they are off-campus, he will be well-respected, gaining happiness without getting profits.
