A interpreter must repeat sentences that are only explanied once,so short-term memory is very important in translateing.Note taking is very important because a human's memory is limited.
Note taking is different from the recording of some meeting or shorthand,it is a device that helps with memory.By using simple characters or symbols during a conversation,it will be the key words that stimulate the mind.Some of the word's shorthand or symbol needs to be repeated in use in order for somebody to be familar and memorize it.Otherwise,i won't be able to read my own shorthand sometimes.This also requires more practice.
