With the dramatically speeding development of Internet and electronic devices,People are preferring online news to traditional Newspaper.In order to survive in modern days,some changes are essential for the newspaper industry.Below are some thoughts of mine which might help to solve the situation.
First,more newspaper stands need to be built.Always the reason why I don't read newspaper is not because I don't want to,it's because I can't find where to buy it.If there are more newspaper stands at some convenient locations,people will definitely buy more.
The second suggestion is that the newspaper should reduce the cover of advertisements.I understand this could cut a lot of advertising income for the newspaper,but if people are so sick of the overwhelming advertisements that they decide to stop reading,can the publisher use the money to buy the reader back?I don't think so.
Finally,I have a really brilliant idea,it's to combine the newspaper with lottery tickets.When you buy a newspaper,you can also get one set of lottery numbers on some page of the newspaper,or a scratcher.People would enjoy to try their luck.
These are some ideas to help the newspaper to become popular again.
