Heavy metals nickel stress on physiological and biochemical characteristics of Jatropha Seedlings Abstract: In this study, soilless cultivation, stress jatropha seedlings treated with different concentrations of nickel (Ni2 +) in culture medium for 7 days, by measuring its peroxidase (POD) activity , chlorophyll and malondialdehyde (MDA), free proline (Pro), soluble sugar , soluble protein content and root activity , research Ni2 + Stress on physiological and Biochemical jatropha seedlings . Research results : Under duress Ni2 + solution , with the improvement of Ni2 + concentration of peroxidase (POD) activity , chlorophyll content , malondialdehyde (MDA) content , soluble sugar and soluble protein content increased first and then decreased trends proline (Pro) in a straight upward trend , seedling root activity compared with the control group , a straight downward trend. It can be seen , jatropha seedlings to Ni2 + has some resistance to stress the role of stress concentration is too high would undermine the role of protective enzymes in vivo Jatropha roots ability to absorb nutrients is damaged, so that growth is affected.
