As the proverb says, it is the early bird that catches the worm. It is not quite true, but I paid for it. As a firefly,I was tired of hiding from bats, geckos and other nocternal predators. So I made an important decision this morning--I hid in a safe tree hole for a whole night, and went out in the morning. I thought this is a brilliant idea, because daylight makes my burning ass less consipicuous, and most of my enemies are hiding in their holes. But I never knew that birds also eat insects.
