一、take表示“花费”时常指花费时间,可用以下五种句型结构：
1．It take sb some
time to do sth,如：
It took him an hour and a half to write the letter．
It takes him half an hour to eat his meal．
2．把不定式的逻辑主语放在不定式之前,再在其前加 for.即：
It take some time for sb to do sth,如：
It took an hour for him to repair his bike．
3．用sb做主语.即：
sb take some time to do sth,
He took ten minutes to put on his clothes．
4．用 sth做主语.即：
sth takes sb some time to do,如：
The newspaper took him two hours to read．
5．用动名词做主语.即：
Doing sth takes sb some time,如：
Swimming across the river took him ten minutes．
二、take表示花费时也可指花费金钱,表示“某人花费多少钱做某事其句型结构与时间相同,有五种.
1．It take sb some
money to do sth,如：
It took him a lot of money to buy a house as big as that．
2．It take some
money for sb to do sth,如：
It took￡ 12 for me to buy that coat．
我花了12镑买了那件大衣.
3．sb take some
money to do sth,如：
I took ￡ 12 to buy that coat．
4．sth take sb some
money to do,如：
That coat took me ￡ 12 to buy．
5．doing
sth take sb some money,如：
Buying that coat took me ￡ 12．
三、take除了花费时间、金钱外,还可指其他花费.如：
It takes more than a long walk to become a hero．
要成为英雄,不单单走很长路就够了.
It takes two to make a quarrel．
两个人才吵得起来.
