1.A value

sth doesn't give sb good value for money是“物无所值”的意思.其余选项都错.

2.C Even so

按句意,意思是“除了一些拼写错误,它不失为一篇好文章”.答句含有对文章的肯定成分.故不用even though.

3.A had told.表示对去发生的事情一直影响到说话的时刻为止.

4.B only by practicing speaking,

后面主句用了倒装,所以只能用only.
