在圣诞前夜,scrooge以前的一个名叫jacob的同事化作鬼魂后来看他.生前jacob曾像scrooge一样冰冷、贪婪.他警告scrooge如果他再这样继续自私地生活下去,他的来生也会不得好抱,永远痛苦,并且通知他今夜会有三个精灵过去,过去,现在和将来来到他家.因为他一直吝啬还贪婪所以如果scrooge还不改正的话,死后便会坠入地狱.scrooge 看见地狱的惨状以后有些害怕,但还是装作毫不在乎.之后他遇见了过去,又重温了了一遍童年的温暖.但是看到后来自己的变化,以及亲友私下对他的态度,scrooge痛苦极了于是生气的把过去赶走.之后他跟着现在看到圣诞节百家欢乐的情形.又嫉妒又后悔的看完了一切.最后未来来了,告诉scrooge如果他***的话他将在这夜死去而且没有人会怀念他.这时scrooge真的害怕了,下定决心改变自己.他终于看明白了自己的错误并且恳求未来再给他一个机会.

第二天,圣诞节到来了,早上scrooge醒来的时候完全变了一个人,正如他向那三个鬼魂承诺的一样,变得宽厚、仁慈还十分愉悦.他成了远近闻名的好人.

On Christmas Eve,Scrooge Jacob a former colleague called to see him turned into a ghost.Jacob was like Scrooge before his death,like cold and greedy.He warns Scrooge that if he continues to live selfishly,his next life will not be good people,always painful,and informed him that tonight there will be three elves in the past,past,present and future came to his home.Also because he has been stingy Scrooge is not greedy so if correct,then it will fall into hell after death.scrooge after seeing the horrors of hell,some fear,but still pretended not care.After he met in the past,again reviewed the warmth of childhood again.But that was their own changes,and the attitude of his friends in private,Scrooge so angry with pain of the past away.He then followed the now hundreds of Christmas joy to see the situation.And jealousy and regret watching it all.Finally,the future comes,tell Scrooge that if he did not know if he will repent of the dead that night and no one would miss him.Scrooge really scared this time,determined to change yourself.He finally realized his mistake to see,and begged the future to give him a chance.

The next day,Christmas came,Scrooge woke up the morning a changed man,as he promised unto them as the three ghosts,becomes generous and kind but also very enjoyable.He became well known for the good.
