夸父与太阳竞跑,（一直）追赶到太阳落下的时候；（他）感到口渴,想要喝水,就喝黄河、渭水的水.黄河、渭水的水不够他喝,他又去北方的大湖喝水.（他）还没赶到（大湖）,就在半路上因口渴而死.（夸父）遗弃的手杖,化作一片桃林.
