在限定性定语从句中,which和that在指代物时常常可以通用,但有时只益用which,如下：
1.关系代词前面有介词时
This is the hotel in which you will stay.（这就是你将要住的旅馆）
= This is the hotel (whichthat ) you will stay in,
2.如果有两个定语从句,其中一句的关系代词是that,另一句宜用which
Let me show you the novel that i borrowed from the library which was newly opened to the public.
(让我给你看看我从新开放的图书馆借来的小说)
that 和which在定语从句中做关系代词的区别
which（1）可用于非限定性定语从句中,代替物,整个主句或主句中的一部分.
（2）可用于介词之后,即介词+which（指物）
that：没有上述which的两个功能
