Last week,I lost my wallet in Daqin,Heilongjiang Province.I had no money and no identification card.I tried to make a phone call from a pay phone,but nobody was willing to spare me some coins.This place was cold and I felt colder here than anywhere else,because I did not know how to speak Chinese and how to get help.
I was about to cry out when a taxi driver stopped his car by my side."Nihao",he said."Nihao",I answered,but that was the only Chinese I understood.Then,he talked to me in Chinese,but I just shook my head.All of a sudden,I heard him saying "hello".On,my,he could speak my language."Hello,hello",I answered in a hurry in fear that he might leave.
I told him what had happened to me and he took me to my friend's hotel without asking for the fare.Before he drove away,I asked what his name was.He smiled and said,"Lei Feng".
"All right,Lei Feng,I will find you and pay you back later."
My friends laughed out when they heard my story."How could you find Lei Feng?He was long gone." What?He was here not long ago.I was confused.However,at that moment,I decided to learn Chinese and find out who Lei Feng was.
