诗本身不难读,但是蕴含的深刻道理我就理解的不是很透了.试回答如下.

The modern sense of sainthood is that one did everything to serve the greater community except for the war.

The question is absurd because the answer is obvious.Of course he was happy and free,as we should certainly have heard if there had been anything wrong.
3.
The citizen is unknown since he is only a simple person living simply like others in the society.He is not famous,neither did he win any outstanding fames.He just stands of the group of people alike in the world.
