其实 same 也是一个形容词,唯一的区别是 same 前面必须有定冠词 the.看一组例句,其区别便比较清楚的哈：

You and he are the same as I am in spirit.

You and he's apartment is the same bigger as mine

You,he and I live in the same apartment.

You have right as/so the same as he does.= You have as/so the same right as he does.【但很少用so,应该是一种语法习惯】

You have not so the same right as he do.【否定句不能用 as】

as/so adj.as ...与……一样,但在否定句中只能用 so,不能用 as 即 not so ...as 与……不一样.
