所谓让步就是指说话者不情愿地退而言之。像 although/though（虽然）、as（尽管）、even if/though（即使）、however（无论[如何]），whatever（无论[什么]），whoever（无论[谁]）、no matter wh-（不论）连接的句子，都可以表示这种让步意思。如：
Although it was so cold, he went out without an overcoat. 天气虽然很冷, 他没有穿大衣就出去了。
Ridiculous as it seems, the tale is true.这个故事看似荒唐，却是真的。
