★ in the final是形容词性短语,但后面不跟of,后面要跟名词类的东西,表示在“最后的…… 中.”如：In the final exam I got good grades.在期末考试中我得了好成绩.
★in the end 是副词性短语,后面不跟任何词,当然就不跟of了.它表示“最后,终于……”,相当于finally.如：in the end he got good grades.最终他获得了好成绩.
★make sb.do sth意思为：让某人做某事.如:The teacher made him hand in his homework at once.老师让他马上交作业.
★好像没见过make sb.doing sth.这样的结构.不过有这样的句子：The teacher made the girl sitting near the door open the door.这里面的sitting 不是现在分词做宾补,而是做宾语the girl的定语.句子意思是“老师让坐在门边的女孩开开了门.”
