Can I mix MTS/MTO into one strategy?

When You say that user want to produce to stock, what do You exactly mean ?The material can be defined as MTO - so that You get the link between sales order and production order. You can still create production order manually without link to sales order - You can say this is kind of MTS production - but what interaction to PIR is needed ?
