介词是根据定语从句中的动词和先行词之间的结构搭配关系来确定的.注意分析下面这组例句,体会寻找介词的方法:

This is the room in which my grandpa lived.

Do you have a knife with which I want to cut some paper?

My father bought me a telescope through which I can observe stars.

Bill is the boy with whom I often play computer games.

第一题中定语从句中live和先行词room之间要建立起正确的逻辑搭配关系,必须选in,即live in the room.

第二题中cut some paper和a knife之间需要用表示工具的介词with来连接;

第三题中observe stars 和a telescope之间也需要表工具的介词with.

最后一题中play computer games和the boy之间需要表示"一起"的意思,只有选with
