Why do men hate strong hard working women in the work place.

I am a woman, very female there is no doubt. I am not a feminist, I enjoy cooking and raising my children. I don't mind doing the laundry and having a man hold the door for me. But my ex-husband did leave me and my 5 children and I raised them by myself for many years. It did make me a strong woman, able to take care of everything that needed taking care of. I have now since married again and enjoyed taking care of my husband and children.

I do work full time as well, but the question I have is I am a hard worker, when I come to work, I work. I am friendly and helpful, not standoffish and most people around me think I am nice. I have a great sense of humor and I am a great listener. There is 2 younger girls in my office. One is quiet and sweet and a very hard worker. The other is a flirt, hardly ever works, complains and takes a lot of time off. Here is my question, why do the men love this girl. All 3 men in my office are married men and they take her to lunch, sit in her office and flirt. When she does not want to do something they will give the task it to me or the other girl to do. She wants to leave early she does. She has people on the phone ask her out for dates. She is not single, she has a steady boyfriend she has had since she started working with me at this job. It is so annoying makes me want to scream. Me and the other girl who work hard are constantly harassed by the boss who acts like we don't know what we are doing and I have been here for 3 years and am an expert at what I do.

Now, this is not new for me. Every job I have ever had has this girl in the work place. (not the same girl, but one like her) I have had supervisor positions and have had a flirty girl come in and work under me for more money than I was making. These girls or women come in all shapes, sizes and ages. The girl in my office now, is young, but she is average in looks. She is loud and obnoxious. She is not nice to the other women in this office. She does not have a conversation with any of us. As a matter of fact, one of the males in the office is getting married this weekend and besides the guys in the office, she was the only one invited to the wedding. Neither me or the other girl is ugly and the other girl has more of a figure than she does. I feel underated and not appreciated, because I am not a flirt and/or kiss ass.

Please give me an answer to this, because it makes me want to quit my job.
