Choose an image of contemporary architecture,scan it and use it as a vehicle to explore ways of creating a composition and manipulating an image through the following processes:
1 manipulate your scanned image using Photo Shop software
2 slice and rearrange the cut image
3 extend the image using pencil and/or colour
4 cut,spread and add manually to the image
5 explore connections with Surrealism – look particularly at the work of Escher and Deanna Petherbridge
6 explore connections with Futurist painters and produce a large work in pastels as a response
7 simplify and abstract the form,using acrylic applied with card
After a full range of experimentation,choose your preferred style and media to produce a final outcome for this project.
