The Mountain God and the River God
A long time in Vietnam,there was a beautiful priness.She was the king's only daughter.
Both the mountain god and the river god wanted to marry the king's daughter.The king said,"You must fight,and the winner will marry the priness."
So the two gods fought.They fuoght with bows and arrow.The mountain god won the fight,and he married the beautiful priness.
But the river god was angry.He used his power to attack the mountain.The river got higher.It covered the mountain.It came up to where the mountain god and the priness lived.Then,the mountain god used his power.The mountain got higher too,so the river god couldn't get the priness.
Now every year in July and August,when the rains come in Vietnam,and the river rise,people say that the river god is still trying to take away the piness.
山神和海神
很久以前在越南,有一个美丽的公主,她是国王的唯一的女儿,山神和海神都想娶国王的女儿.
国王说：“你们必须决斗,胜者才能娶公主.”
所以这两个神决斗了.他们用弓和箭决斗,山神赢得了这场决斗并和美丽的公主结婚了.但是海神很生气.他用他的法力攻击山峰.海水涨高淹没了山峰到达山神和公主住的地方.然后,山神利用他的法力,山峰也变得更高了,所以海神不能得到公主.
现在每年的七月八月,当越南的雨季到来,海水上涨,人们会说：“海神仍然在尝试将公主带走.
