Don't be sad ,Xiao Hong.I had the same experience before.We did not make the joke purposely.So why not communicate with your friends?You can tell her/ him that you didn't do that on purpose.I am sure you can get his/ her forgiveness and be good friends again.When talking with he/ or her,you need to apologize first and give him/her the reason.Next time,talk after we think.Then we can avoid the embarrassment and misunderstanding during the talk.
